Across the Columbia River, about 2-10 miles out from The Dalles, 3 separate lightening caused fires started Saturday. There are now 6,430 acres burned, a couple of structures lost and 714 firefighters working their life saving magic.
The city's watershed is dangerously close to the largest of the 3 fires, the humidity is very low and winds are around 30+ miles per hour, not a good combination.
We're able to see the Southern smoke filled sky.
This fire is small in comparison to the huge ones in Idaho.
